Blending artistic legacy with an elevated guest experience, the collaboration introduces a fresh chapter for Hawai‘i’s live music scene and serves as the new creative homebase for the Henry Kapono Foundation’s artists and programs. Set on the waterfront in Hawaii Kai, the venue offers unforgettable performances, inspired dining, handcrafted cocktails, and the welcoming spirit of aloha. About Bryan Spicer
Bryan Spicer is an award-winning producer and director known for his cinematic storytelling across film and television. With a career spanning more than three decades, his credits include major motion pictures and acclaimed series such as Hawaii Five-0, Magnum P.I., The X-Files, 24, House, and Castle. Since making Hawai‘i his home, Bryan has become a driving force in the island’s creative community. He is the owner of the legendary Island Sound Studios, where he continues to support artists, filmmakers, and storytellers. As a creative partner in Kapono’s at The Lounge, Bryan brings his vision and passion for collaboration to help shape a new home for live music, and connection in Hawai‘i.
About Henry Kapono
Henry Kapono Ka’aihue is a Grammy-nominated, multi-award-winning Native Hawaiian singer-songwriter known for his soulful voice, timeless songs, and electrifying performances. Rising to fame in the ’70s as one half of the legendary duo Cecilio & Kapono (C&K), he has become a cultural icon and a leading figure in Hawai‘i’s music scene. Beyond performing, Henry is a producer, music director, and community leader who continues to champion Hawai‘i’s music through his work with the Henry Kapono Foundation and Kapono Inc., dedicated to creating and sharing Hawai‘i’s stories worldwide.

Founded in 2018, the Henry Kapono Foundation (HKF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in Hawai‘i and inspired by the vision of Henry Kapono and Lezlee Ka‘aihue. Guided by Henry’s lifelong passion for music and aloha for the community, HKF supports Hawai‘i’s music industry through education, mentorship, and career development — empowering artists to create, perform, and thrive. About Island Sound Studios
Island Sound Studios is one of Hawai‘i’s most iconic and advanced recording facilities, known for its world-class music and ADR productions and for welcoming global artists including Rihanna, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, and leading Hawai‘i musicians. Originally built as a state-of-the-art private studio, it is now owned by brothers Bryan and Kyle Spicer, who have modernized and expanded the space while preserving its historic creative legacy. Located on the marina in Hawai‘i Kai, the studio offers unmatched privacy, top-tier equipment, and an inspiring setting. In 2024, the Spicers introduced The Lounge, a performance venue that quickly became a beloved hub for intimate live music.
